11:20 got it exactly right. It's very condescending and judgmental behaviour to tell someone that you're going to pray for them, unless it involves an illness, a death, or some other hardship. The last time I was told "I'll pray for you", I said "who the fuck made you my judge and jury"?
1:19....get a clue.
There is a very large number of people that engage in this sort of thing. It's so not about feeling better about oneself......*I'll pray for you!*
lol. Joke.
I've heard of people doing this, but never witnessed it. All the prayers I've heard have been "heal Tommy's cancer", "keep Marge safe as she travels", "help Paula with the loss of her cousin", etc.
not always there is somethign called corporate prayer where veryone throws in vague issues that they are going through and aske people to pray for them
My stepmom SO does this at my house. Not only does it make her (or anyone else who does it) look like an insensitive bitch, but it shows that they have no balls whatsoever.
lol I know! "I'm gonna pray for Suzie to be delivered from the sin of fornication and stop fucking everybody else's husband." That is gossip not a prayer.
