I feel like ignoring a facebook event is a lot like a pocket-veto. The only difference is instead of opposing legislation, I don't want to go to your sketchy party.

The pocket veto is also great for awkward friends requests.
How soon would you like to start our life together? Presumptuous? I love you.
This must have been a fellow law student invited to that party last weekend with the drunken idiot breaking shit
I agree with 11:14, but does it really belong on TFLN? Fuck no.
Most intelligent Facebook analogy ever.
I feel like anyone who can use pocket veto correctly in an analogy should be my friend...
dude, that's exactly how I think of it
except for the fact taht was retarded and long winded for telling someone no...
Mmm....correct use of political terminology turns me on!
Dear whoever wrote this, You must be a fellow poli sci major, it's the only explanation. Let's go get drunk together. Also, marry me.
Awesomely nerdy people in unexpected places (Altoona, PA??)
@ 11:46--Why not? I think it's refreshing to read something on TFLN that is funny, intelligently-crafted and isn't from someone bragging about how skanky she is. It's nice to throw something else in the mix every now & again.
haha i like this. a lot.
hahaha I love it! This is fantastic.
This is probably the best analogy Ive ever seen. No I know it is.
bahahahaha my soulmate.
