  • Why do people insist that Piercings set off metal detectors? Like Micholder said it'd have to be huge... or the detector set so sensitive that there'd be no point using it since a gum wrapper would set it off. I call bullshit, or the change in your pocket set it off.

    • Btw I have a metric fuckton of piercings, and I have serviced metal detectors in the past... You'd have to have a barbell the size of a AA battery and made of lead to set off a standard airport metal detector...

  • I'm betting it was a x-ray body scanner and not a metal detector, hence the reason a piercing would set off an alarm. David probably got high fived by the security guys who saw the piercing and its exact location.
