Try laying your bike down in front of the speaker. It's always worked for me! The sensors are based on metal, not weight. And a lot of times they don't know it's someone on a bike until you get to the window.
About a month ago me and a bunch of friends wanted a sweet tea so we grabbed a shopping cart and went through the drive through making car noises, 3 people in the cart, 2 pushing and one goofy bastard just watching. I'm pretty sure we made the night of about 15 people, the lady in the car in front of us got out and gave us lifesavers.
they serve us like that in australia, the other night i was wasted in a shopping trolley in the drive thru and the guy at the window told me there was a wait on my burger so i asked him if he wanted me to park around in the waiting area, he said the garden will be fine.
hahaha shitty for America... in Germany they serve us on foot or on bicycle or moped... very helpful as there is one next to one of my favourite clubs... walk right up to the window and ask for fries =]
405 isn't necessarily from Stillwater. It could be Norman or plenty of other places in between. 405 covers a really wide area. But regardless, this is hilarious. My favorite part is that the texter is legitimately pissed that they were turned down.
i love living in arkansas because so long as the bitchy manager isnt there we do whatever the fuck we want to. we have double lanes so that all of the fat arkansans can get their shity food. they are weight sensors. but we also have cameras. but somone once turned away a group of black kids on bikes and they pouted.......... Racist bastards!!!
We're not supposed to serve people who drive-thru backwards. It's a safety issue. But, if there aren't other cars, I usually do. Also, if you're in a vehicle that doesn't have enough weight to set off the sensor, chances are we won't hear you from inside...we don't just stand and stare out the windows, we have other work to do while we wait for the next customer!
me n my friend were on a school field trip to a basketball game and did this at Mcdonalds but we made to german guys drive thru for us lol. they were pissed... but we got our food and almost got a detention. :)
McDonalds sucks about letting people walk through the drive thru. I did it a few years ago and the manager came out and forced us to leave. We were on rollerblades.
We had better luck at Dunkin Donuts, just skated up to the window and knocked. They opened it and we were like "can we order here?" and they didnt care.
I remember a friend and I trying to go through the drive thru on bikes when we were kids, and they refused us and said "You have to be 1000 pounds to trigger the sensor." So we went around and got 10 more friends and all crowded together on the sensor on our bikes till it worked, and ordered a dozen burgers. We did actually get food, though whether it was because they couldn't tell it wasn't a car or that they were dying of laughter watching us I'll never know.
They refused to serve us in a car. We went through in reverse so they said they couldn't serve us. What they didn't get was that the driver side door and window were both broken and didn't open. It was bullshit.
at our school we have a 24 hour drive through and they decided to put a door bell on the drive up screen for all the drunk people that walk through so they know they are there...its pretty amazing...after 12 there are always more people walking than driving...it makes sense if they made people drive there would be so many more people drunk driving...
dude, when the ugly pimply guy at the drive thru refuses to serve you at 4am in -20 celsius weather you just need to yell at him about how you know his tricks, you dont own a car, and the inside is closed. then you jump in a van with the next randos who show up, ask them about snowmobiles, and pay them like $7 for fries. you then don't get raped and fall asleep on your friends' floor eating said fries.
price-fuckin-less.
Well, if I was working at a McDonald's or Taco Bell or any drive-thru fast food establishment...I'd probably be a little bitter and pissy, too. But hey! Everyone should move to Washington Heights in NYC. We have a WALK UP WINDOW!!!! TWO OF THEM!! You walk up and place your order. No worry. No stress. No vehicle required.
Damn, that's so messed up of them to not give serve you. It must have been such a pain to park the bikes, get off. Walk inside and order.... Damn ! How fuckin lazy/ fat r u?
11:34 dude, it's a weight sensor. that's why if you don't get close enough, you have to pull to the first window to have your order taken. the weights don't pick up the vehicle.
and we can't serve motorcycles, for really obvious safety reasons...
Lol I love scewing with drive through windows but I find it amusing that only one other person on this thread knows that the sensor is an inductive loop. Just so people know an aluminum car would not set it off... you just need enough ferous material... an old steel bike would work if it was close enough to the loop... you should see the cuts in the pavement where the wire is installed... anywhere in those lines is a good place to lay the bike. Again aluminum will not work.
In the uk they lock the doors after a certain time and put bollards up at the drive through so you have to walk to the drive through window to get served ....
I once got 6 of my friends on bikes to mcdonalds. we printed out giant paper motors and taped them to our bikes. i ducked taped a boom box to my handlebars and blared biggie goin through the drive through. woulda worked if it weren't for the 5 workers that came out and the cop 2 cars back in line...
9:46, ur DUMB AS FUCK!!! They didn't have motorcycles, they just wanted to get food by walking thru the drive thru and making up bullshit excuses why they couldn't see them. They obviously wouldn't have to "make the noises" if they really had motorcycles!!!
