actually, persistent alcohol abuse weakens the bonds that hold your dna molecules together, which can permanently alter your dna and make future generations more susceptible to alcohol abuse. come one, i learned this shit in high school.
Errrr. And the alcohol molecules just happen to target and weaken the code of the gene for alcoholism? I'm amazed that those little -OHs are so smart, given that we have 100,000 genes and those genes only account for 2% of the genome. (Nonsarcastically: your high school teacher was wrong.)
well my genetics teacher was also a professor at columbia so i really don't think so. it's not a gene change but a gene weakening that increases chances for alcoholism. and other genes are also weakened.
Ok. I amend my comment: Your teacher may have said everything correctly, but you heard wrong. (To "weaken" a gene, one must alter a base pair in that gene-- and to pass it on to a fetus, one must alter that base pair within the sex cells so that it can be shuffled along to the fetus. I remain entirely unconvinced of your statement... And if we're playing the credentials game, since you mentioned your teacher was a also a prof at Columbia, I'll mention that I have my neuroscie
Twitter is the essence of American vanity. Now our great great grandchildren will know that we were so obsessed with ourselves we broadcasted when we ate, changed clothes, went showing, and got laid...oh wait...people who use twitter don't get laid nvm.
Darwin disproved Lamarkian evolution. However codern science has proven numerous aspects of Darwins theories to be incorrect, certain aspects can alter gene expression and may well be hereditable
Everything that's on the Internet is archived. They're so paranoid that they've got programs that scan for suspicious patterns in a person's browsing history, so if you're really interested in how to make weapons, plotting against the government or a group of people, the New World Order, UFOs and whatever else, you can be sure that they've done a background check on you. Time to wake up!
